The idea for Let’s Talk Kids™ came about when Candi was having a conversation with some of her friends, who are parents of young children. Many had questions on when their children should go to bed, start eating solid foods or get rid of a bottle. Candi consulted her mom and sister, who are early childhood and parent education teachers. It then occurred to Candi, a former journalist, that this information could be sent out to broad masses through a weekly email.
Candi contacted her sister, Cinnamin, and asked if she would be interested. She was. The sisters then enlisted their mom – who was just named 2009 Community Educator of the year for the state – to share her knowledge.
When everyone agreed to be on board Let’s Talk Kids™ was born. It is our sincere hope that the advice we share is helpful to you and your family. If there is a topic you would like to see covered, please send us an email. We love hearing from our readers. It is our genuine hope that caregivers will be given new tips to raise their little ones – ultimately providing children with a solid childhood foundation and going on to lead healthy, happy lives.
